Koysman Engineering (Koysman) provided civil engineering services for the design and construction of a new sanitary sewer along Shore Road. Koysman prepared a drainage plan (sewer master plan) in close coordination with the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP). The drainage plan analyzed the existing sewer system within a designated downstream area to determine the impact of the proposed sewer on the existing system. The drainage plan included a hydraulic analysis which showed the proposed hydraulic and energy grade lines along with a summary drainage table.

Koysman developed a Private Drainage Plan in accordance with DEP regulations and guidelines. The design included standard DEP hydraulic computations, detailed plans, sections, and profiles. The plans showed the limits of construction work, pipe size, material, inverts, gas/electric/water utilities, and existing and proposed roadway grades. As part of the design, the Koysman team coordinated with private utility companies to address any utility conflicts prior to the start of construction.

Koysman also provided Resident Engineer inspection services for the installation of the new sanitary sewer system along Shore Road, in coordination with the DEP field inspection department. As part of the inspection services, the team provided submittal tracking, delivery coordination, and detailed daily record keeping. At the close-out phase of the project, the Koysman team compiled the final inspection package to DEP for review and approval.
