Koysman Engineering (Koysman) provided civil engineering design services and SWPPP inspection services for the development of a new 8-story mixed use building located at 555 Broadway, in Brooklyn, NY. Koysman provided a comprehensive set of civil engineering services, including BPP, street tree plan, curb cut, street light relocation, NYCDOT vault application, and a stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP).

As part of the BPP development, Koysman coordinated all proposed sidewalk elements with the design team and all applicable regulatory agencies. This consisted of a logistically complex coordination process with project stakeholders and several government agencies such as NYC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR), NYC Department of Transportation (DOT), NYC Transit Authority (NYCT), and the NYC Department of Buildings (DOB).

Additionally, Koysman was responsible for the development of a SWPPP for the project site. The development of the SWPPP was done in full compliance with the NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) rules and regulations. During the construction stage of the project, Koysman is responsible for providing weekly inspections and reports to ensure the project site meets all stormwater pollution controls and requirements as outlined in the SWPPP.
